2012 revolutions
so here we are again. at the brink of an end of yet another year. i can't say this hasn't been a good year because it has. well. in spite of my recurrent health issues, flip flopping sanity and signs of aging anyway.
getting older totally sucks! but what can we do about it, eh?
i am thankful for all that has been - the screw ups included - i am thankful just to be here and to have now. i'd come into 2011 an insecure little girl and i'd like to think that i'm coming out of it a confident young woman. ok...not so young anymore now, though i still feel like a fresh college graduate sometimes.
some of my achievements this year? for one - i managed to get where i wanted at work and i'm really happy about it. i managed to maintain my weight in spite of my fast food and coffee diet. i'm still with my beautiful and loving boyfriend (LOVE YOU, PORKY PIE!), and i'm still alive, which is an achievement in itself.
my resolutions next year? well, top of my list:
1. stay in shape/maintain my looks. because i'm obsessive-compulsive. enough said.
2. get a promotion/increment. the downside of being a writer.
3. start planning on getting my first house. a landed property, please.
4. establish better sleeping/eating habits (same as last year, i suppose) imperative to start taking better care of myself now that i'm getting older....sigh....so yes, no more junk food or coffee (if i can help it). and i've definitely been drinking a lot less this year so i hope that'll help maintain my youth or whatever's left of it...
5. manage my time better (STOP PROCRASTINATING)
6. control my temper better (RAWR RAWR RAWR RAWRRRR) and learn to be more patient. i have got to realise that just because i disagree with something or someone doesn't make them wrong.
7. manage my finances better. self-explanatory.
8. read more to know more about my country's/the global political landscape to get a better insight of things. last thing i want to be is a frivolous bimbo who doesn't have a grasp of reality.
9. as always, stay alive and stay happy so i can write this list again next year.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY. <3
and no, i don't believe in any of that mayan bullshit. you know what'll come after 2012? 2013 lo....kthxbai.
